Paycheck Debt Planner

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 3, 2026  ·  Version 1.5

The short version

Your financial data never leaves your device. Paycheck Debt Planner stores everything locally using your phone's built-in storage. Nothing is uploaded, synced to a server, or shared with anyone — including us.

We don't collect your name, email address, or any personally identifying information. We don't require an account. We don't have access to your debts, bills, goals, or paycheck amount.

What data the app stores

Everything you enter — paycheck amount, pay cycle, required bills, debts, savings goals, and plan settings — is saved to localStorage on your device using your iPhone or iPad's own storage system. This data:

The only exception is the optional Export Backup feature, which lets you save a local file to your Files app or share it manually. That file is entirely under your control — the app does not send it anywhere.

App Lock (Face ID / Touch ID)

Paycheck Debt Planner offers an optional App Lock feature — off by default — that secures the app using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. Authentication is handled entirely by Apple's on-device system.

Paycheck Debt Planner never receives, stores, or has access to your fingerprint, face data, or any biometric information. The app only receives a yes-or-no confirmation from iOS that you authenticated successfully.

App Lock can be turned on or off at any time in Plan Settings. If your device has no biometric authentication or passcode configured, App Lock will not prevent you from accessing your data.

Try with Sample Data (Demo Mode)

The app offers an optional "Try with Sample Data" feature on first launch that populates the app with realistic example bills, debts, and goals so you can explore how it works before entering your own information.

Sample data is stored only on your device, exactly like your own data would be. Using sample data does not create an account or send any information off your device. You can exit Demo Mode at any time via "Start My Own Plan."

Notifications

If you enable notifications, the app schedules local notifications on-device — no notification server is involved. Paycheck-eve reminders and upcoming bill alerts are triggered by iOS's built-in notification system using only dates and text you've already entered into the app.

Enabling notifications does not give us access to any additional data. You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings app or inside the app.

In-App Purchases (Premium subscriptions)

Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple via the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives a device-level anonymous identifier and your subscription status — it does not receive your name, email, financial data, or any information you've entered into the app.

RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy. Apple's App Store privacy practices are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

We do not store, see, or process your payment information at any point. All payment handling is managed entirely by Apple.

Analytics and crash reporting

The current version of the app does not include analytics or crash reporting. No behavioral data or usage statistics are collected or transmitted.

Children's privacy

Paycheck Debt Planner is designed for adults managing their personal finances. The app does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy — for example, if a future version introduces cloud sync or analytics — we will update this page and note the date of the change. The version number at the top reflects the app version when this policy was last updated.
